Course Description:

In this course, Megan Norwood, MBA, MS, RDN, LD, CNSC will identify the connection between nutrition and patient outcomes; discuss key nutrition considerations for nurses at admission, during admission, and at discharge; list the types of nutrition supplementation and artificial nutrition support and their indications; and review additional nutrition considerations for conditions that may escalate the nutritional risk to the patient.

Megan Norwood is the Food and Nutrition Director at Medical City Healthcare. Previously, she was the Clinical Nutrition Director of HealthTrust Supply Chain Solutions. She has a B.S. in Nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.S. in Nutrition from Texas Woman’s University, and an MBA from the University of Texas at Tyler. She is a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician.
